Level I is designed for blower door technicians with some experience testing residential and low-rise (3-story) buildings and businesses wanting to expand blower door testing to include large buildings.
Track Overview
Level I: Track A Requirements
Attend ABAA Blower Door Training Course
Pass the online, 200 question, written exam with an 80% passing rate
5 Year Blower Door Certification
Level I: Track B Requirements
Submit certificate of training from a blower door manufacturer
Submit documentation showing 5 large building tests (based on ASTM 779, ASTM 3158, ASTM 1827 or equivalent) within the past 2 years with a minimum enclosure area of 50.000 sq. Ft . Candidate must identify what role or roles were performed by the candidate.
Pass the proctored, online, 200 question, written exam with an 80% passing rate
