Who We are and What We Do

The Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA) is the leading authority on building enclosure systems, dedicated to promoting their benefits, educating the public, and advancing a professional air barrier trade nationwide. Through technical documents, expert guidance, and rigorous certification programs, ABAA ensures industry excellence and compliance with evolving standards. Our History

Founded over two decades ago, the Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA) began with a group of professionals establishing field installation standards, which evolved into the Quality Assurance Program and later expanded into comprehensive certification programs supporting the entire building process.
