Expert: Level II Certification
A Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Certification in blower door testing

Level II is designed for experienced blower door technicians to receive certification and be recognized for their years of industry experience and extensive knowledge.


Level II: Track A Requirements




Attend ABAA Blower Door Training Course
Pass the proctored, online, 50 question (if Level I certified) or 250 question (if NOT Level I certified), written exam with an 80% passing rate
Pass the 4-5 hour practical exam
5 Year Blower Door Certification
Level II: Track B Requirements




Attend ABAA Blower Door Training Course
Submit documentation showing 10 large building tests (based on ASTM 779, ASTM 3158, ASTM 1827 or equivalent) within the past 2 years with a minimum enclosure area of 50.000 sq. Ft . Candidate must identify what role or roles were performed by the candidate.
Pass the proctored, online, 50 question (if Level I certified) or 250 question (if NOT Level I certified), written exam with an 80% passing rate
5 Year Blower Door Certification
Level II: Track C Requirements




Provide a certificate of training from the blower door manufacturer. The blower door manufacturer training must be in-person for a minimum of 16 hours, with a focus on large scale testing with multiple fans and manometers. Online training courses or courses that focus on single-family residential testing will not be accepted. This training must be completed within 5 years of the date the candidate applies for certification.
Submit documentation showing 15 large building tests (based on ASTM 779, ASTM 3158, ASTM 1827 or equivalent) within the past 2 years with a minimum enclosure area of 50.000 sq. Ft . Candidate must identify what role or roles were performed by the candidate.

5 Year Blower Door Certification
Level II: Track D Requirements




Provide a certificate of training from the blower door manufacturer.
