I am a senior architect with over 20 years of experience. I have demonstrated my adaptability by serving as the managing director of my engineering consulting firm in Dubai, UAE, for 15 years, followed by remolding projects in Los Angeles, California. Currently at the FST Technical Services as a Building Enclosure Associate. I have successfully completed numerous projects for residential and commercial buildings, including but not limited to high-rise towers, Airports, Battery labs, Research facilities, hotels, schools, consulates, and banks.

What inspired you to pursue the CABS program with ABAA?
A: To familiarize with the latest guidelines, challenge oneself at the field of building envelope commissioning with the view of sub-specializing in air barrier program.

What are some of the challenges you’ve encountered in air barrier field and how as your certification helped you address them?
A. Better insight on the management of air leakage at the transition points among different wall assemblies which has always been a challenging subject in the field of architecture.
What advice would you give to someone considering pursuing the CABS certification with ABAA?
A. To participate and review ABAA online Webinars as well as conferences to get accustomed to the terminology and deeper understanding of the details.
