Director Nomination

The ABAA Board of Directors provides leadership and extensive industry expertise to guide and strengthen the Association while overseeing its strategic direction and fulfilling fiduciary responsibilities on behalf of the membership.

In accordance with the ABAA Bylaws, nominations for individuals to be considered for election to the Board of Directors may be submitted by any individual representing a member company in good standing. Members are encouraged to nominate qualified professionals who demonstrate:

  • Industry leadership
  • Strategic thinking
  • Commitment to ABAA’s mission

Nomination Submission Guidelines

  • Each Member Company may nominate only one individual.
  • Nominations must be submitted by a member representative in good standing.
  • The nomination must be supported by three additional member representatives in good standing.
  • Nominators should confirm the nominee is willing and able to serve if elected.
  • Nominees must be prepared to provide a biography and photo as part of the submission.
  • A signed nomination form is required.
  • Self-nominations are not permitted.

Minimum Requirements for Nomination

  • Active participation in an ABAA committee, task group, or ad hoc group for a minimum of one year
  • Representation of an ABAA corporate member in good standing for at least one year

Factors Considered by the Nominating Committee

  • Participation in ABAA activities outside committees or task group
  • Attendance at the ABAA Annual General Meeting
  • Attendance at the ABAA Annual Building Enclosure Conference
  • Number of presentations delivered at the conference
  • Presentations delivered on behalf of ABAA

Nomination does not guarantee a Board position, as final candidates are confirmed through election by the membership.
