This course defines the latest code and testing requirements for water, air and fire considerations in exterior wall assemblies. Participants will learn the various options for water and air control while exploring various wall assembly designs. In addition, participants will be introduced to building science analysis tools to recognize the impact of various designs on long term building performance.

I started my journey in construction 34 years ago within the roofing segment and accumulated 23 years of experience. I worked primarily for roofing manufacturers across residential and commercial lines. I have represented high-end clay tile for custom residential to commercial single ply and many products in between. The last 11 years, I have worked in the insulation industry, starting with Knauf Insulation, a fiberglass insulation manufacturer that sparked my interest to promote high performance solutions for insulation and weatherization within the changing landscape of codes for Title 24 here in CA. Later, I joined Dow Chemical and now DuPont, which has allowed me to promote the accomplished portfolio of high performance systems for all six-sides of the building enclosure for both thermal and water-resistant barriers. I enjoy being an advocate for innovation and excellence in assembly design and construction. I’ve been active in numerous organizations, AIA, CSI, USGBC, IIBEC and trained in BPI and HPIP.
