This is a comprehensive journey that starts out as performance failures of storefront and curtain walls. These failures typically fall into the categories of leaks and thermal issues and sometimes material finish. We will be looking at basic building science, general installation methods of frame and glazing, water control and condensation resistance.

Learning Objectives:

1. Reporting the performance problem to the general contractor.
2. Review how experts are sent to investigate the problem.
3. Writing a report about the investigation.
4. Providing an action plan for remediating the performance problems.

Anthony Santocono

Anthony Santocono has been in service to the Kawneer Company for almost 35 yrs. In 2007 he was offered the position for Field Investigation Engineer. This position takes him to many project sites around the USA and Canada to provide forensic and investigative services of Kawneer product performance which includes; Curtain Walls, Windows, Storefronts, Entrances and Skylights. He also trains the Kawneer Customer base on installation and fabrication of Kawneer Systems.
