Member Spotlight: Jonathan Layton
Jonathan Layton has been with HICAPS, Inc. for six years, currently holding the position of Manager of Building Diagnostics. With a degree in Architectural Technology and certification as a Level II Thermographer, he is also a licensed drone pilot through the FAA. His career in the construction industry began early, working as a general laborer for a custom home builder while attending college. Outside of work, Jonathan dedicates much of his time attending his daughter’s dance competitions and his son’s soccer games.
When did you become a licensed field auditor?
A: I earned my Field Auditor certification on October 1, 2019, after training in Grapevine, TX, with the late Peter Spafford.
What inspired you to pursue the Field Auditor program with ABAA?
A: I was inspired to pursue the Field Auditor program with ABAA because I wanted to deepen my expertise in building envelope performance and contribute to the industry’s standards and quality assurance.
