Project Overview
This was a unique project for various reasons. It involved two buildings – one for offices and one for retail. They had differing architectural design, but employed the same basic components. For air/water barrier behind the EIFS, we applied a thin-film liquid-applied. Behind the brick, we installed spray polyurethane foam. Note the steel stud and clamps to create a clean, straight edge of SPF, ready for the windows and doors to be installed. The windows were detailed with a combination of liquid-applied and self-adhered flashings. We installed the WRB, EIFS (including the brackets and cornice and simulated stone), SPF, flashings, caulk, and scaffold. The project sits on the side of a heavily-trafficked street in a commercial district.
